Hagan said his legislation was written in response to a bill introduced in the Ohio House this month by state Rep. Ron Hood, R-Ashville, that is aimed at prohibiting gay adoption.

To further lampoon Hood's bill, Hagan wrote in his mock proposal that "credible research" shows that adopted children raised in Republican households are more at risk for developing "emotional problems, social stigmas, inflated egos, and alarming lack of tolerance for others they deem different than themselves and an air of overconfidence to mask their insecurities."
However, Hagan admitted that he has no scientific evidence to support the above claims.

Wal-Mart Chief: "Love it or Leave it!"
It seems Wal-Mart chief executive, H. Lee Scott Jr. gets a little testy when workers question the company's greed.
In a confidential, internal Web site for Wal-Mart's managers, the company's chief executive, H. Lee Scott Jr., seemed to have a rare, unscripted moment when one manager asked him why "the largest company on the planet cannot offer some type of medical retirement benefits?"
Scott first argues that the cost of such benefits would leave Wal-Mart at a competitive disadvantage but then, clearly annoyed, he suggests that the store manager is disloyal and should consider quitting.
I love it when disgruntled "ex-managers" release confidential stuff to the public!
But its tone is at times biting. In his response to the store manager who asked about retiree health benefits, Scott wrote: "Quite honestly, this environment isn't for everyone. There are people who would say, 'I'm sorry, but you should take the risk and take billions of dollars out of earnings and put this in retiree health benefits and let's see what happens to the company.' If you feel that way, then you as a manager should look for a company where you can do those kinds of things."
I guess he's not working the front door as a greeter anytime soon!

White House counselor Dan Bartlett said Wednesday the UAE company, Dubai Ports, "is a reputable firm that went through a congressionally approved vetting process." He said the U.S. has "the necessary safeguards to make sure that the security of our country is in place" and that rejecting the deal would send "a dangerous signal to people overseas that America plays favorites."

Our energy "innovative" President will be touting "renewables" at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Golden, Colorado. The problem..."Thirty-two jobs at the labs were eliminated by budget cuts earlier this month"... The soloution...RESTORE THE FUNDING AND THE JOBS TWO DAYS BEFORE THE PRESIDENT'S VISIT!
Renee Azerbegi, the past president and a current board member of the Colorado Renewable Energy Society, questioned the timing of of the announcement that jobs had been restored just before the president's visit.
This administration's political maneuverings have become so transparant!
I give it 2 months before we hear that the funding was actually not restored. He's done that little trick before.
